Either the thieves were idiots (unlikely) or it was stolen to order, perhaps. And going to someone in a remote location where they can just keep it private for the next 20 years.

being that theres 4 of them left in the world... yeah that would have to go into hiding for a long long time

Really smart thieves could probably be able to sell it to some non-honest collector with other hidden treasures but I doubt it. I hope they’ll just leave it somewhere intact and keep just the trailer.

Yeah, that’s my worry - that they had zero idea of what they just stole, and won’t be able to fence it. Liable to end up cutting it up for scrap if they’re clueless.

20 years might be on the low side.

If it was in the trailer, I’m going to guess they didn’t know what was inside (and maybe hoped it was a slightly more generic Ferrari or Alfa). Again, just a guess. Hopefully it turns up on the side of the road somewhere after the thieves find out it will be tough to unload.

Side note..is that other car on top of the trailer? Or on the back of an exposed carrier that is towing the enclosed trailer? Either way, you’d think they would have a better pic of the trailer so people could look for it.

i think its on whatevers pulling it..

news here reported that the thieves broke into a couple other cars to move them out of the way of the trailer..... so they sure wanted that trailer bad

and yeah... you would think they’d have a better pic

I doubt scrap, I would worry it will be abandoned in some dilapidated industrial park not to be found for decades.
